A message from our Box Top parent volunteer....
Hello Room 3 Parents!
It's time for the winter "box tops for education" fundraiser! I'm the "box top parent" for room 3 this year.
Please send in non-expired box tops, Campbell soup labels and Tyson labels with your child(ren) no later than 12 February. There is a prize (TBD) for the class that submits the most box tops!
Feel free to contact me with any questions ([email protected])
Thanks in advance for your contribution to this fundraiser!

And now an update from Mrs. Barrows...
This week the class has been introduced to 2 new websites that we'll use to extend our learning at home this year. Both websites require a log in. I taped log in information into all students' BEE folders today. Using the information below and in their BEE folders, you should be able to access the sites, but if you have any trouble please feel free to contact me.
The first is a math site that supports our Everyday Math curriculum. This site is only available on the web, there is not an app to access this site. In your browser you can type and bookmark this site for your child:
http://connected.mcgraw-hill.com/school/f6k0
From here, your child clicks on Room 3 (a robot icon) and follows the log in directions on the card taped into their BEE folder. I will send home a packet of information that gives more details about what children can do on the site, but it is basically a portal into our curriculum. You can access our daily lessons, homework, and additional games to reinforce skills. It's an outstanding resource!
The second site is called RAZ Kids and it is basically a digital version of their blue take-home book bags. You can download RAZ Kids on a tablet devise or access it from the web here:
https://www.raz-kids.com/
The first time you use the site you'll need to click Kids Log In or teacher username and enter my username which is tbarrows2. From there you'll access our class site and your child will be able to proceed with his or her own log in information. This marvelous resource will bring your child to a selection of upwards of 30 books that are on their just right level. Children can choose to read the books from their blue bag or the books on RAZ Kids for their reading homework. They will also have access to RAZ Kids on the Ipads here in the classroom.
Again, please let me know if you have any questions regarding these sites, I'm happy to help!
